Saluti dallItalia

"Now that I'm retired, I can dedicate my time to my great passion – representing my pre-Hispanic cultural heritage."
I've been working hand-in-hand with you since 2003. It was my nephew, Eduardo Escamilla, who suggested this, and I found the project to be spectacular. As you may know, I'm an engineer by profession but I feel an overwhelming passion for our pre-Hispanic cultures.... read more

Signed Ceramic Aztec Sculpture from Mexico, "Aztec Deities"$334.99
By Angel Cerón, this ceramic sculpture interprets an image depicted in the Magliabechiano Codex from the late Post Classic period. It reveals elements of both the legendary Feathered Serpent Quetzalcoatl and also of the wind god Ehécatl. This wonderfully detailed Aztec deity wears a necklace of seashells and an elaborate headdress, and a bird alights on his hand.
Realistic Ceramic Sculpture of an Aztec Jaguar Warrior, "Fierce Aztec Jaguar Warrior"$87.99
Depicted in the Florentine Codex as well as in historic paintings, the jaguar warrior comes to life in ceramic. Artisans from the Angel Cerón Artisan Association portray the warrior wearing the jaguar's paws on his hands as well as a mask that represents the fierce spotted cat. These fighting men formed one of the elite divisions of the Aztec army.
Aztec Skull Priest Ceramic Sculpture, "Aztec Sacrifice"$88.99
Grasping a snake, an Aztec priest wears a skull mask while other skulls appear in his hand and on his ankle. Artisans from the Angel Cerón Artisan Association convey their own conception of the leader responsible for the ritual of human sacrifice. "The Aztecs believed that this helped settle an ancient debt mankind had with the gods," the Mexican artisans explain.
