Popular Landscape Expressionist Paintings
Silkscreen Print of the Mexican Seashore in Tropical Colors, "The Coast"
Sunset gilds the sky above the Pacific, where the Sierra Madre Mountains reach to the shore. Waves wash over rock formations that jut out into the sea. Working in the silkscreen technique, Georg Rauch selects sizzling tropical tones for a dramatic composition. Mexico was a constant source of inspiration for artist. The limited edition print is signed and numbered.
Titled "La costa" in Spanish.
Peruvian Expressionist Painting, "Blinds"$759.99
Glimpsed as though through blinds on a window, trees rustle in the summer breeze. Leaves are erect; all symbolize virility in a landscape by David Fernandez. To the left in shadow, the torso of a nude woman is luminous and mysterious. "The painting's name is quite subliminal," the artist confides. "It refers to the emerging expression of life filtered like light in the feminine figure."
Titled "Persiana" in Spanish.
India Landscape Color Archival Print on Canvas, "Silent Mountains"$214.99
Nature inspires Milind Nayak as he creates this elegant landscape. Casting lacy shadows on distant mountains, leafy trees seem to rustle in the wind. Subtle color and bold silhouettes distinguish this work of art. Sadhana Jaipuria presents a reproduction in a giclée archival print on canvas as a part of her gallery's collection.
A self-taught painter, Milind Nayak has worked in photography and digital art. His media include oils, watercolors and pastels as he strives for the greatest realism possible. "I believe art should mirror reality. I'm drawn by nature's vitality and exuberance, hence I want to depict the glory of nature rather than altering its appearance," the artist says. His paintings figure in collections in India, England, Germany, Poland, Ireland, Scotland, Holland, Malaysia and the USA, and he has exhibited his work in the US and London, in addition to Indian venues.
