This oxidized copper statuette with accents in bronze and polished copper designed by Ana Maria Enciso of Peru is in the shape of a Tumi, a ceremonial blade used by the ancient cultures of Peru. Both sides hold the same intricate details of a serious-faced leader with an elaborate headdress adorned with diving birds. The mask stands on a brass support rod on an aragonite base.
