Wrapped in a red shawl, she kneels and meditates. "This is about the stillness that we need to maintain as humans, even though there may be storms around us, symbolized by the wolf," says C.F. John of his composition. This is the first of his "Still Silent" series, in which the talented Indian artist explores the balance between the rational and the emotional within human existence through a balance of planes, geometrical lines and shapes. India's Sadhana Jaipuria presents the painting as an archival print on canvas as a part of his gallery's collection.
C.F. John is one of southern India’s promising artists and an ardent lover of nature. After his studies in philosophy, C.F. John opted to follow the gurukul academic tradition and had his initiation in art under Jyothi Sahi at Silvepura Bangalore. He has co-authored a book with Tomas H Pruiksma as a conversation titled "Our Body and Our Earth" and was selected by BBC Radio 3 as one of twelve artists worldwide whose approaches have led to significant innovations in their field.
