Details

Pale blossoms flourish on a cotton shawl in steel grey, while geometric patterns adorn the edges. Anil Khandelwal works in the ancient Rajasthani dabu print technique to craft a beautiful shawl. Printing blocks are dipped in a mixture of mud, which is stamped onto the cloth to create the motifs. When dry, the fabric is dipped in a bath of dye, thus dabu is known as a mud-resist print.

Because of their handcrafted nature, no two dabu prints are ever identical.

I use this as a wrap when I get chilly watching TV. As with everything Novica, it's very well made...great colors and size.

I purchased the shawl 'Blossoming Jaipur' form Mr. Khandelwal, and I just love it. I can't wait to buy more from his collection.
