Ms. González brings wood and paint to life
My daughter received this for her birthday. She was thrilled with both the theme and and artistic execution. I have given her other work by this work artist on previous birthdays, and perhaps we have begun a tradition... I am very grateful for the light this work brings and for the opportunity to support a wonderful woman artist.
This made for a great extra Christmas gift for my sister-in-law who enjoys it very much. I have several of Anas creations myself and love them.
My Son was Thrilled to Receive This
This was a perfect gift for my sons 26th birthday; it was especially endeared to him as his grandparents (my parents) were from Mexico and playing loteria was a favorite past time. The box is beautifully crafted and will be treasured for many years.

Wooden Turtle Jewelry Box with Hand-Painted Dragon Design, "Dragon-Hearted Turtle"$54.99
The flaming coils of a golden dragon spread out over the sky-colored shell and flippers of a humble turtle in this unique jewelry box. Removing the top of the shell reveals a space lined in black polyester velvet for storing small valuables or jewelry.
Peacock Theme Turquoise Embroidered Silk Jewelry Roll, "Royal Peacock"$24.95
Flaunting exquisite plumage, an abstract peacock adorns this beautiful jewelry roll from Asha Prabha. Beadwork embellishes the machine embroidery on a background of turquoise silk. Inside the bag, three zipper pockets organize jewelry while a separate padded strip of fabric holds rings. The travel bag closes with a tie.
Reverse Painted Glass on Wood Jewelry Box with Butterflies, "Butterfly Court"$69.99
The art of reverse painting on glass was brought to Peru by the Spaniards who settled there in the 15th century. Local artisans emulated the style and in time, the technique became recognized as a Peruvian craft tradition. Here, Peruvian artisan Gelacio Giron paints ethereal butterflies on the hinged lid of a handcrafted wooden jewelry box. The blue, black, and pink winged creatures flit amidst delicate blooms on a background of ochre and gold. The box has a single compartment.
Hand Made Colonial Leather and Wood Jewelry Box, "Happy Hummingbird"$134.99
A hummingbird hovers amid flowers to feast on their sweet nectar. Portrayed in burnished tooled leather, the graceful images adorn a diminutive chest of drawers for keepsakes and treasures. Oscar Pastor crafts the jewelry box from wood and covers it in polychrome leather with an antique finish. The drawers open with wrought iron pulls, and a mirror is set inside the lid.
